KINGSLEY COACH
By Jonathan Blevins

Those who think that an RV is simply an RV have never encountered a motor home from Kingsley Coach, Inc. These custom-built, luxury motor coaches are designed to the individual specifications of each buyer, from the truck chassis to the spacious floor plans. Kingsley Coach, Inc. has custom built vehicles for a variety of customers from NASCAR drivers to traveling musicians, from the Department of Homeland Security, to the everyday RV enthusiast.

Innovation in design is the backbone of the Kingsley Coach team. They are the fi rst and only company to offer a power rear-opening garage located under the bedroom. Not only does this location provide convenient loading and unloading access, it also allows for additional interior living space.

Custom building with Kingsley provides an incredible amount of options to the customer. Each coach is built on a top-of-the-line semitruck Coronado or a new Volvo 670 chassis.

Using a truck chassis instead of a bus provides an extremely stable, smooth and powerful ride. In addition, their premiere motor coaches also feature a state-of-the-art, tandem rear axle system that assists with load bearing and reduces vibration through the drivetrain. Combined, these features ensure the smoothest ride possible.

To truly appreciate a Kingsley Coach, one only needs to look under the hood, where a Detroit Diesel-Series 60 14.0-liter, 515 horsepower, muscle-bound engine reigns supreme. A Kingsley Coach provides 1,800 lb.-ft. of torque, holds up to 300 gallons of fuel and has an automatic shift transmission, for easy transition between speeds.

All this power pulls an ergonomically designed cab with modern components and a strong conversion body that features a large, walk through transition between the cab and body. Aluminum-frame side walls and roof, as well as a 2-inch by 4-inch steel chassis platform provide sturdy support. A fully insulated wood fl oor frame rests above a 3/4-inch tongue and grooved sub-fl oor, supporting the seamless, one-piece, smooth gel-coated fi berglass exterior and one-piece, fi berglass roof, which is reinforced for walking. In addition, Kingsley Coaches offer a 7-foot-6-inch ceiling height, three slide outs with toppers, and dual thermo-pane windows.

The exterior design of a Kingsley Coach provides a series of modern options that make traveling easy, safe and comfortable. Fully insulated café-style doors feature aluminum inner panels, a window, a screen and drip rail, as well as keyless entry. All open bays are lined with washable fi berglass, and include electric bay door locks and auxiliary air in the lower bay from the truck system. The LED exterior light package illuminates the incredible beauty of each coach. Custom painted with base, color and clear coats as well as handsome vinyl graphics, a Kingsley Coach boasts additional comfort features outside the vehicle such as an electric awning with a wind sensor and curbside remote, electric window awnings as well as mirrored stainless steel fenders and lower panels.
